Inany case, on all computers, including a brand new one fresh out the box, office freshly installed on it, windows 10 freshly patched out, Acrobat fresh installed, the same problem is happening. This is a law firm and our paralegals like having the Preview Pane open in their windows explorer when dealing with PDFs.
Thisis Windows 10.1709, a fresh installation from a few months ago. Acrobat still worked a couple days ago. No errors or problems. Today, it just doesn't start anymore. I first tried with "open with" on a .pdf file, then tried starting it directly from the start menu. Nothing happens.
Myconcern is that the inconsistent state for Acrobat DC on my laptop may not be resolved by this and could still prevent install of Acrobat DC. My laptop seems to show both that Acrobat DC is installed and not installed. Thanks again to Microsoft for what appears to be a bad Windows build install (Windows 10, version 1709).
